Our Mission

About DeepScan AI

We're building tools to help people verify the authenticity of video content in an era of increasingly convincing synthetic media.

Why We Built This

Deepfake technology has advanced rapidly. What once required significant compute and expertise can now be produced by consumer hardware in minutes. This democratization of synthetic media creation has outpaced the tools available to verify content authenticity.

DeepScan AI was built to close that gap — providing a fast, accessible, and technically rigorous detection tool that anyone can use without needing a background in machine learning or computer vision.

We believe that trust in digital media depends on the availability of verification tools. Our goal is to make state-of-the-art deepfake detection as easy as uploading a file.

What We Detect

DeepScan AI is designed to detect a broad range of synthetic video manipulation techniques:

Face Swaps

GAN-based and diffusion-based face replacement, including FaceSwap, DeepFaceLab, and similar tools.

Face Reenactment

Driving-based synthesis where a source face is animated to match a target's expressions and movements.

Entire Face Synthesis

Fully AI-generated faces inserted into real video backgrounds or composited into scenes.

Attribute Manipulation

Targeted edits to facial attributes such as age, gender, expression, or identity while preserving the rest of the video.

The Team

DeepScan AI is developed by a small team of researchers and engineers passionate about media integrity.

A

AI Research

Model architecture, training pipeline, and signal fusion design

B

Backend Engineering

Node.js + Express server, Python CV/ML pipeline, video processing and API design

C

Frontend Engineering

UI/UX design, interactive results visualization, and responsive layout

Responsible Use

DeepScan AI is intended for legitimate verification purposes — journalism, content moderation, personal verification, and research. We ask that users respect the privacy of individuals and only analyze content they have the right to process.

Detection results are probabilistic, not definitive. A FAKE verdict indicates high likelihood of manipulation based on the signals analyzed, but should be considered alongside other evidence. A REAL verdict does not guarantee authenticity — it means no manipulation was detected by our system.

Uploaded videos are processed transiently and are not stored beyond the duration of the analysis session.
